Book Club

Our book club reads wonderful books and have great discussions. New members are always welcome. Contact Monika Wayne for more information or check the Community Calendar for the monthly book discussion dates.

PJ Library

The PJ Library® program supports families in their Jewish journey by sending Jewish-content books and music on a monthly basis to children from six months to eight years. Created by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, and sponsored by our local Jewish Federation. To visit our PJ Library webpage, please click here.

Jewish Family Services Food Pantry

Help us fill our Jewish Family Services Food Pantry and add a few of our items to your regular grocery list. The little gesture can help feed people right here in our own community. All non-perishable items that are donated need to have a heksher (a symbol which certifies a product as kosher). Any items that do not have a heksher will be redistributed to a local food pantry.

Please visit our Jewish Family Services Food Pantry for a list of frequently used items and our item of the month.  Also, gift cards to buy perishable items such as meat, chicken, fresh vegetables, fish and produce are also welcome.

Needle Arts Group

Our Needle Arts Group is open to anyone and everyone who enjoys crochet, knitting, needlepoint, or any other type of sewing project. Whether you are a beginner or have been working with Needle Arts for years you are welcome to join us. You can bring either a personal or a charity project and we can help you with new ideas, fix mistakes or teach you the basics. For more information please contact Monika Wayne.

Partnership with Forever Learning Institute Continues!

Brushing up on old skills and learning new ones helps our brains to stay sharp and powerful. Learning in a group setting has so many more benefits for the individual. It brings friendship, camaraderie, shared spiritual reflection, intellectual growth, social interaction. The Federation’s partnership with the Forever Learning Institute will offer days filled with such opportunities.

The Jewish Federation has been partnered with Forever Learning since 2014, and has provided dozens of classes to local community members over the age of 50, both Jewish and non. We are pleased to present the Spring Class Schedule and invite both you and your friends to take part in one of the many learning opportunities within. You can download and view the schedule of upcoming classes at the Jewish Federation by clicking here.
