Planned Giving and Endowment

Your presence is needed. For your family. For your community. For Israel. For the Jewish people. But what will happen when you can no longer be there? A planned gift to your Jewish community enables you to be present forever. Whether your gift is used to provide for the needs of the Jewish poor, to assist the elderly, to rescue Jews in need around the world or to fight anti-Semitism -- no matter where or when in the future, you can be there to help.

Create a Jewish Legacy

Your commitment to the Jewish community is evident in everything you do. Now you can extend your commitment into the future.

Your bequest or other planned gift will keep our Jewish community strong for generations. It’s an expression of your trust in future community leaders. A way for you to be there whenever help is needed. It’s your sacred covenant with the Jewish people.

Why?

Jewish tradition teaches that one of our key duties is to make the world a better place for future generations.

Chances are you already donate generously to the Jewish charitable organizations of your choice. But have you considered including those organizations in your will, so you can continue to make a difference for generations to come? Whether you use a will or other estate planning vehicle, your generosity can do a world of good. A federation/foundation estate planning professional can help you start this rewarding process. Your legacy can reflect everything that is most important and meaningful to you. The legacy planning process can engender heartfelt conversations with your family and build bonds with your partners in the community. The act of creating a legacy empowers you to complete the work of your heart, and to enjoy the peace that it brings. You are assured that your work will continue and the Jewish future will be bright.

Donor Advised Fund Program

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable gift account that you establish at the Jewish Federation to help you manage and simplify your charitable giving. Our DAF is structured and administered to service the needs of all philanthropists. We also offer exceptional investment management and ease of administration for those individuals and private foundations seeking to simplify the management of their philanthropy.

The low minimum funding requirement is designed to encourage broad based multi-generational participation. This plus our low administrative fees make our DAF one of the best and most popular choices among charitable funds.

We encourage you to review our materials and discuss them with your family and your advisors. We look forward to welcoming you to our family of DAF philanthropists.

Please contact the Jewish Federation for more information.

Charitable Bequests

You can make a gift that will endure the test of time.

Your Will is an important element in your estate plan that enables you to protect the people you love, create a lasting partnership with federation and help ensure the future of the Jewish community. A statement about the things that were important to you in your lifetime, your Will is your formal, legal instrument to protect and ensure that commitment for future generations.

Can anything be more important? Yet, more than 60% of all Americans die without a Will.

Your charitable bequest may include cash, securities, insurance, or property. Your taxable estate is reduced by the total amount of the gift while you retain use of the assets during your lifetime.

A Promise for the Future

Not ready to create your personal legacy but do know that you want to do so in the future? You can declare your intention to establish a charitable bequest to express your enduring commitment to your Jewish community by signing a Declaration of Intent today.

While not a legal document, your Declaration of Intent is your promise to include your Jewish federation in your estate plan.
